parkrun Barcode Wallpaper Shortcut

Introduction

This is a tool for iPhone / iPod touch users to quickly set their parkrun barcodes as an iOS lock screen wallpaper.

0) Download your barcode from the Parkrun website

(You need to log in to parkrun first.)

Find the part on the page that says “Click here to download your barcode“, long press the link to save it to your phone.

1) Download my iOS shortcut.

2) Run it on your phone

The shortcut will open a file picker. Click the barcode PDF you downloaded in Step 0, and then choose a photo of your choosing.

Please watch the demonstration video attached if necessary.

3) Optionally, link this wallpaper to your workouts focus mode

so the barcode automatically shows up when running.

Safety and Privacy

All processing happens on your own device and this shortcut does not collect any information on the user. The tool is tested to work on iOS 17.5 and macOS 14.4.
