Falling in Love with a Stranger at the Airport

Not uninspired by the Sisyphus55 video of the same title, and heading to streaming before year end as part of Gold. We talk more about the context in the end.

I was holding
withered roses
my shadows scattered
through your window

You are all I see

Dare I say magic?
oh, that I don’t know:
You are golden

Be on your way.

Be on your way:
I dream of the stories
of where you came from
I don’t know how else I could start

In this moment,
my thoughts, they glisten.
I will fold them,
and I will trust:

You are heading
somewhere amazing
if I keep wishing
soon you will fade…

“Be on your way.”

Heart emboldened
and I felt it,
That you won’t pause for me

You were golden,
and I’ll be on my way

From this moment
that we are still.

You can now preview two of the six tracks I am shipping out with Iridium Point “Gold”. An extended play I’d planned since the Berkeley year about unsent love letters and later realisations how that’s not the best thing to keep writing.

The final mix of “Falling in Love with a Stranger at the Airport” (FILWASATA for short) will feature my recorded acoustic guitar performance rather than synths … a first for Iridium Point, surreally.
